The Project Hate MCMXCIX
The Project Hate MCMXCIX was formed in 1998 by Kenth Philipson and Jörgen
Sandström). That winter they recorded the one and only demo
they ever did up to now. The 3 song demo was recorded with Dan Swanö and
LG Petrov (Entombed) did some backingvocals for the demo. It was sent
out to 4 labels and later on 1999 they signed deal with Germany based lable,
Massacre Records.
At late 1999 the band recorded their debut album "Cybersonic Superchrist". With this recording the angelic being of Mia Ståhl was added to the Hate to bring a wider range of variety to the music. "Cybersonic Superchrist" was released worldwide the 14th of February 2000. In February 2001 band recorded "When we are done, your flesh will be ours". Album was released at August 27th 2001 and was their last album on Massacre.
Petter Freed (2 Ton Predator) joined the band as guitarist for livesituations in 2002 , but later he became a permanent member. The same year vocalissa Mia Ståhl was replaced with Jo Enckell. The band's 3rd studioalbum, "Hate, Dominate, Congregate, Eliminate", was recorded early 2003 and released at 25th of August 2003 through Threeman Recordings.
"Armageddon March Eternal (Symphonies of slit wrists)" is the 4th studio-album by acclaimed death-metal-and-beyond band The Project Hate MCMXCIX. Featuring Jörgen Sandström (known for murderous vocals on legendary Grave 's 3 first studio-albums. Being the bassist for Entombed for a decade and now a member of Vicious Art ) on vocals, Lord K Philipson on guitars, programming and keyboards, Petter S. Freed (from Swedish thrashers
2 Ton Predator) on the other axe and unknown wonder Ms. Jo Enckell on vocals. After having Lord K Philipson doing the bass for the first 3 albums the band decided to utilize the services of a top-notch player this time around, namely Michael Håkansson of Evergrey -fame. What has been created together with Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Nightingale) in his Square One Studios is nothing short of a monstrous masterpiece.
65 minutes and 40 seconds divided into 8 songs craves some craftsmen, and that is exactly what TPH is about. That and full-on brutality, full-on beauty and eerie electronics and programmings incorporated into a massive stew of Christ-hating music.
Having made them a name during the band's 8 years of existence, each album has proven to be something new and different. "Armageddon March Eternal" didn't change that fact and recognition is deserved.
TPH might sound like many bands but there's not one single band that sounds like TPH.
